For Oppidum, we posed several questions: 
Could visiting the doctor feel more like being welcomed into a home? 
Could the experience be calming and educational and, as a result, healing? 
And could the healing properties of plants and nature be part of the journey to health?

This medical practice for a GP sits on its steeply sloped site as 3 distinct pods nestled into position. Each pod is uniquely fixed to pull in sunlight and ocean views. Instead of clinical corridors that only heighten tension, patients are drawn through wide walkways open to the garden, with places to rest, read, and pause. Tumbling water from the naturally occurring spring and scents from the medicinal garden permeate the spaces, serving to calm and soothe.
