Emma established Studio Reid in 2021 after returning to South Africa from the UK. Before founding Studio Reid, she worked at Heatherwick Studio in London, where she contributed to high-profile projects, including Google’s California headquarters, retail districts in Seoul, and Singapore’s Changi Airport. This experience honed her expertise in human-centered design and collaborative work with international teams.

Emma's architectural journey began at StudioMAS in Cape Town and Johannesburg, where she played a pivotal role as project architect for a luxury residence on Nettleton Road and led the urban design of the Keyes Art Mile in Rosebank.

At Studio Reid, Emma combines global experience with a deep appreciation for context-driven design, creating thoughtful and distinctive spaces in South Africa and beyond.
